Define Calendar for Absence Limits
Explanation
This activity is used to define calendars for the company.
The application calculates absence limits for employees on a yearly basis. In
order to do so, it has to know when the calendar year starts.

Procedure
- Open the Absence Limit Calendar Type window.
- Create a new record in the header and enter calendar ID and description
in the respective fields.
- In the Period Type field, select when the year-long period used
for absence limit calculation will begin.
Following values are available:
- Calendar Year - The period begins on the1st of January and
lasts until the end of the year. No further generation is necessary.
- Custom Year - Used in countries where the calculation period
starts on a different date than January 1st. Selecting this option
requires you to manually enter when the calendar period should begin and
generate the result.
- Rolling Year - Used in countries where the calculation period
begins with employee's employment.
Note: If you change the start date of employee's employment, you
will have to generate employees absence period again.
- Save your changes.
