Create Repair Part

Explanation

This activity is used to prepare an inventory part for being processed on a component repair order in the Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) component.

Prerequisites

An inventory part with the part type Manufactured or Purchased must exist on the site.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a record is created and it is possible to connect service types, including service part (non-inventory sales part) and service price, as well as repair codes, to the repair part.

Procedure

  1. Open the Part Service Definition and Pricing window.
  2. Create a new record.
  3. The site defined as your default site is automatically filled in. You can change to any other site that is connected to your user. You can either change by entering the other site or search for it by using the List of Values.
  4. Specify the inventory part that should be processed. You can either enter the part number or search for it by using the List of Values.
  5. Save your record.
