Business Calendar

General Information

The business calendar helps you to organize your work. It allows you to view business opportunities, business activities and MS Outlook /Lotus Domino items. The type of the item is indicated by a separate icon in the business calendar. For example opportunities are indicated by a green color flag. Status of the item is indicated by a color ribbon to the left or up of each item.

You are allowed to enter, modify and delete data via the calendar. You can use the right mouse button option to add the representatives in which you would like to have the calendar view. You can have more than one calendar view at a time.

If you select the Business Activity check box, your calendar will show all the activities in which you are the main representative. You can modify some activity data by right-clicking and clicking Open. If not, you can use the Show Details option. If you select the Business Opportunity check box, your calendar will show all the opportunities in which you are the main representative. You can modify some opportunity data by right-clicking and clicking Open. If not, you can use the Show Details option.

The appearance of Outlook Items and Lotus Notes Items check boxes are dependent of your mail client installation. For example if you have MS Outlook installed as your mail client, the calendar will display the Outlook Items check box.

If you select the Outlook Items check box, your calendar will show all the items from your MS Outlook calendar. You can add new items by right-clicking and clicking New Outlook Item. You can also modify or delete outlook items via the relevant right mouse button options. If the Details pane is visible, you can select an item to show the details. A similar behavior is displayed if Lotus Notes have been installed.

To make the Details pane visible, click on the arrow on the edge of the right-hand side of the pane. You can configure the details view by right-clicking and then clicking Column Chooser to show only the fields that you wish to show. You can hide/unhide the Details view. The records in the Details view are shown based on the criteria on the left panes.

Tasks are displayed in a separate pane on the left hand side of the calendar. It displays both MS outlook/Lotus Domino tasks as well as the activity tasks. You can add, edit and delete tasks using the right mouse button menu options in the task pane of the business calendar.

You can choose and add representatives to your calendar. You can select more than one check box and have multiple calendar views at a time. If you drag and drop an opportunity/activity from one representative’s calendar to another, the main representative will also be changed.

You can switch in-between Day, Work Week, Week, Month, Timeline and Simple List views via the icons on the top left corner of the business calendar.

You can configure calendar settings by right-clicking Properties. Further you can set colors for different activity types and opportunity types on the Properties dialog box. The color will affect the whole item when it is displayed in business calendar.
