Enter a NATO Supply Code

Explanation

Use this activity to define a NATO Supply Classification (NSC) code. 

NSC codes connect items to a group and/or class of similar items. With the definition of NSC codes you are able to handle the considerable number of supply items in the NATO Codification System (NCS) and also create NATO Stock Numbers (NSNs).

Procedure

1. Open the NATO Codification Standards Basic Data window.
2. Click the Supply Classification tab and create a new record (F5).
3. In the NATO Supply Classification Code field, enter a unique four-digit code. Note: The NSC code must contain numeric characters only.
4. Enter a description of the code in the Supply Classification Description field.
5. Save the record (F12).
