Create External Output File

Explanation

Use this activity to perform the create output file step after gathering output transaction data and packing this data to file lines.

This is the last step when performing a Complete Output Flow. The output file is created by External Files by writing the previously packed file lines.

Prerequisites

An external load in state Packed must be available.

It is important that the specified file path and file name exist. This is especially significant for batch processing because it is not possible to perform any validation before starting this activity.

System Effects

The output file will be created by writing the packed file line, field File Line, for all valid transactions to the file.

The load will be assigned the state FileCreated.
