Select Template File

Explanation

This is the first step in the Import Template File activity, and is used to specify the Create Company Template files to be imported into the database.

The main purpose of the import functionality is to import all files related to one template ID. Normally this means to import:

To simplify the selection process, there is a field where a file suffix can be specified. If a file suffix such as STD is defined, then the file browse dialog will show all files named according to *STD*.ins.

You can also use the dialog window to select different template files with or without selecting the associated translation files.

If the template files have the naming standard as suggested by, e.g., the Export Company Template to File Assistant and if both basic data and translations should be imported, then the basic data file will be executed first and the translation files secondly. If the name standard is non-standard then the dialog cannot determine the order to execute the files.

Prerequisites

The input files must be valid Company Template basic data files or translation files accessible on a network directory.
