Create Technical Class Groups

Explanation

Use this activity to create new technical class groups which are used to group attributes for technical data.

Prerequisites

A template of a technical class connected to numeric or alphanumeric attributes.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to create a technical class group:

1. Open the Technical Class Groups window. 
2. Click Search.
3. Query for the technical class on which you want to create a technical class group.
4. Click inside a field on the Group tab, and click New.
5. In the Group Name field, enter the name that you want the group to have.
6. In the Group Description field, enter the description for the required technical class group.
7. In the Group Order field, enter the sort order number or position that you want the added group to have relative to the other groups under the same technical class.
8. In the Std Sq field, enter the sequence number for the standard in which you are working.
9. Click Save.
10. In the Attribute table, click New.
11. Select an Attribute using the List of Values. If the required attribute does not appear in the List of Values, use Search.
12. In the Order field, enter the sort order number that you want the attribute being added to have, relative to the other attributes within the group.
13. Click Save.
