Modify and Change Usability of Language

Explanation

Use this activity to add or remove the language codes that are available for use in the system. You can also edit the description, e.g., for translation purposes. This activity is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

The international list of ISO codes is installed with the system. Selecting the Used in Application check box for the code makes the two-character alphanumeric language code available system-wide. 

Prerequisites

None.

System Effects

All selected language codes will be available system-wide in the List of Values, e.g., company setup, customer record, supplier record, etc.

Procedure

1. Open the ISO Code Usage window and click the Language tab.
2. Query for the language codes you want to add or remove.
3. To add a language code for use to the system, select the Used in Application check box in the row containing the code you wish to add.
4. To remove a language code for use from the system, clear the Used in Application check box in the row containing the code you wish to remove.
5. To edit a description, use the Description field.
6. Save the changes.
