Build Project Delivery Structure

Explanation

Use this function to connect new items in a structure.

Prerequisites

• A Realized project item can only consist of Realized items. The project item for the new serial must be Realized if the parent item is Realized.
• A serial cannot be used in more than one project serial structure.
• A standard planned engineering part's revision with corresponding structure in manufacturing cannot be modified. A new revision must be created and then the structure can be built, or the standard planned part's structure can be copied to the new revision.

System Effects

• The item is connected to the Project Product Structure.

Project Item/Consist Of

Procedure

Enter parts in  Project Item Navigator/Consist Of:

1. Select the item for which you want to create a child item, then activate the Consist Of tab.
2. Create a new record.
3. If the part you are inserting as a child item is already registered in the project, check the Project Item column. In the Part Number column use the List of Values, which will list all project items that are not used in a structure, to select the required item and click OK. If the part is not a project item, you can enter an internal ID, but if the field is left blank, it will be generated by the system. Then use the List of Values in the Part Number field to select a part and click OK. The Part Revision will be set to the latest released revision, but the field can be modified.
4. If desired, enter any other information.
5. Save
