Define Object Categories

Explanation

Use this activity to enter information on a category. The concept of category allows you to group objects in the facility on a broader level, such as instrumental, electrical and mechanical objects.

As a result of this activity, a new category is created. You can use the category identity in Functional Object and in Serial Object

Procedure

1. Open the Equipment Basic Data window and click the Categories tab.
2. Create a new record (F5).
3. In the Category ID field, enter an identity for the category.
4. In the Description field, enter a short description of the category.
5. Save the information (F12).
