Enter Unit of Measure

Explanation

Use this activity to create a new user-defined unit of measure for the unit in which this part is stored in inventory. You can also activate a predefined ISO code unit of measure in the ISO Code Usage/Unit of Measure window. This mandatory task is to be performed by a system administrator or equivalent person.

A unit of measure can be any value from hours to kilograms. Once saved, the unit code ID cannot be modified, but you can modify the description. If the description is not translated to the current language, it will first be displayed in English, then change to the first-saved language, enclosed in two symbols (< >). All changes made to the description are saved in the language in which you are working.
