Disconnect Node

Explanation

This activity is used to disconnect a node from a consolidation structure.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, the status of the consolidation structure should be In Progress.

System Effects

As a result of this activity,

• The node will be disconnected from the consolidation structure.
• Disconnect transactions are created for the disconnected node.
• The disconnected node is shown in the Floating Nodes section. (Note: this is an optional system effect which takes place if you enter a value in the Float Until field.)

Procedure

To disconnect a node:

1. Open the Consolidation Structure window and search for the consolidation structure with the node to be disconnected.
2. Right-click on the node to be disconnected and click Disconnect Node to open the Disconnect Node dialog box.
3. Enter the date of disconnection in the Event Date field.
4. Modify the value displayed in the Period field if required. (Note: A value is automatically displayed when the event date is entered.)
5. If you want the disconnected node to be displayed in the Floating Nodes section until a specific date, enter that date in the Float Until field.
6. Select the Keep Until Year End check box if you want to display the disconnected node in the consolidation structure until the expiration of the accounting year defined in the master company.
7. Enter a description in the Comment field if required.
8. Double click on the Notes check box, if you want to enter notes.
9. Click OK.
