Select Gap Analysis Parameters

Explanation

This activity is used to define the parameters against which the employee is compared. If you select current job, each employee will be compared against his/her job. If you select anything else, all employees will be compared against the specified comparing factor.

You can calculate the gap on the exact comparing factor competence level, against the gap tolerance level, or only on core-defined competencies.

Aggregate Competency Gap Analysis

Procedure

  1. Open the Aggregate Competency Gap Analysis window.
  2. Select the analysis name in the Saved Analysis Name field.
  3. Go to the Data Source tab and view the employees who are included in the comparison.
  4. Go to the Analysis Parameter tab.
  5. Select the required option in the Compare Against group box to specify the information against which the employees should be compared.
    Note: If you select Job, Profile or Employee, select the comparison values.
  6. If required, select the Consider Core Competencies Only check box.
  7. If you want to use the gap tolerance in the comparison, select the Use Gap Tolerance check box.
  8. Click Proceed to generate the result.
