Explanation

This activity is used to copy information from one post maintenance check definition to another. You can choose to copy an entire post maintenance check definition or a sub set of the information. The copy features simplifies the creation of post maintenance check definitions, where the definition consists of similar information.

Prerequisites

• The post maintenance check definition to which information is to be copied must exist in the Preliminary status.
• The post maintenance check definition from which information is to be copied must exist. This record can be in any of the valid statuses, i.e., Preliminary, Active and Obsolete.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, selected information on the post maintenance check definition is copied to the post maintenance check definition in the Preliminary status.

Procedure

1. Open the Post Maintenance Check Definition window or the Post Maintenance Check Definition List window.
2. Search for the required post maintenance check definition in the Preliminary status.
3. Right-click and click Copy Post Maintenance Definition. The Copy Post Maintenance Definition dialog box opens.
4. In the Post Maint Check ID field, enter the post maintenance check definition from which information is to be copied. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
5. In the Copy Options area, select the check boxes that indicate the type of information you want copied. All check boxes are selected by default but can be cleared if the indicated data is not required to be copied to the new revision. Following is a list of the check boxes that can be selected:

• Intervals for Parts - Copies assigned parts and the post maintenance intervals defined for the parts.
• Part Revisions - Copies part revisions assigned to the post maintenance check definition. To copy part revisions, the intervals for part information is required to be copied as well.
• Instructions - Copies operations connected to the post maintenance check definition. To copy operations, the intervals for part and assigned part information are required to be copied as well.
• Sign Off Requirements - Copies sign off requirements defined for the post maintenance check definition. To copy sign off requirements, the intervals for part and assigned part information are required to be copied as well.
• Documents - Copies documents connected to the post maintenance check definition.

6. Click OK to copy the information.
