View Work Center Load

Explanation

This activity is used to view and compare the routing work center load required by a proposed or actual production line schedule. The load is expressed for schedule quantities in terms of the part's routing operations by the work center. The machine hours for the part's routing and schedule quantity can be totaled for a schedule date range.

As with line operation queries, you have a choice regarding how to handle the calculation of machine setup time. You can assume a setup per unit (one piece flow), or use a standard lot size as specified for the inventory part (assuming a setup occurs once per lot), or you can specify the lot size manually in the Lot Size field in the Routing Operation and Load Analysis Parameter dialog box.
