Define Operational Task Types

Explanation

This activity is used to define the types of operational tasks, e.g., navigation flight and transportation flight, that can be performed during a flight. Operational task types will be used when recording crew information on a flight.

As a result of this activity, the valid operational task types are defined and can be entered on the flight log.

Procedure

1. Open the Flight Log Basic Data window and click the Operational Task Type tab.
2. Create a new record (F5).
3. In the Operational Task Type field, enter the type of operational task.
4. In the Operational Task Type Description field, enter a description of the operational task type.
5. In the Default Time Unit field, you can define the time unit that is to be defaulted when a new record is created for an operational task on a flight log. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
6. Save the information (F12).
