Define APQ Goals

Explanation

Use this activity to define APQ goals for a production unit. Goals for the Availability, Performance and Quality of a production unit can be specified, and these values will be used to calculate the total APQ value.

Prerequisites

A production unit must have been defined in the Define Production Units window (Setup OEE).

System Effects

• New APQ goals are defined for the production unit.
• The defined APQ goals will be used in the APQ analysis graph.

Procedure

1. Open the Setup OEE window.
2. In the Show Goals for Production Unit field, enter the production unit for which you want to define goals. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
3. Next, click on the green arrow button to the right of the Show Goals for Production Unit field. The Define Goals window opens.
4. Click the APQ Goals tab.
5. To create a new APQ goal (a) click Add Unit Goal (b) double-click on an existing record or, (c) right-click anywhere in the table, and then click Insert.
6. In the Valid From field, enter the date the goal should be valid. By default, the system date will be populated and can be modified.
7. In the Availability field, enter a percentage value for the availability goal.
8. In the Performance field, enter a percentage value for the performance goal.
9. In the Quality field, enter a percentage value for the quality goal.
10. Once values are entered in the Availability, Performance and Quality fields, the APQ goal value in the APQ field is calculated automatically.
11. Save the record.

Use the following procedure when you want to define APQ goals for another production unit simultaneously:

12. In the Show Goals for Production Unit field found in the upper-right section of the window, enter the required production unit ID. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
13. Next, click on the green arrow button to the right of the Show Goals for Production Unit field. The window is populated with information of the newly selected production unit.
14. Click the APQ Goals tab.
15. To create a new APQ goal (a) click Add Unit Goal (b) double-click on an existing record or, (c) right-click anywhere in the table, and then click Insert.
16. In the Valid From field, enter the date the goal should be valid. By default, the system date will be populated and can be modified.
17. In the Availability field, enter a percentage value for the availability goal.
18. In the Performance field, enter a percentage value for the performance goal.
19. In the Quality field, enter a percentage value for the quality goal.
20. Once a value is entered in the Availability, Performance and Quality fields, the APQ goal value in the APQ field is calculated automatically.
21. Save the record.
