Enter Analysis Results

Explanation

Use this activity to enter analysis results for an analysis.

This activity contains a Security Checkpoint which can be activated by an administrator. With an activated security checkpoint on a function you will have to authenticate yourself again in order to fulfill the function. Additionally, whenever a security checkpoint is successfully passed a security checkpoint log is written, creating an audit trail of what is done.

Prerequisites

An analysis must have been created for the appropriate receipt, purchase order, shop order, production schedule, or inventory function.

Procedure

  1. Either populate or query to display the appropriate analysis in the Analysis Results window.
  2. Select the line for which you want to report results.
  3. If the data type is Attribute, enter your results in the Noncomformities (c/u) and/or the Noncomforming (np,p) columns in the Attribute tab. If the data type is Variable, enter your results in the Result column in the Variable tab by entering as many measurement values as the specified sample size.
  4. Save the results.
  5. Choose Complete Registered Results from the right mouse button (right mouse button) menu. This changes the status for the selected line to Complete. Only results with this status are considered when creating control charts or calculating capability indices. Once the line has this status, the results cannot be edited.
  6. If SPC is activated in the Control Plan, you can create a new control chart by selecting a line and choosing Create SPC Chart from the right mouse button menu.
  7. You can print a test instruction by choosing Print Test Instruction from the right mouse button menu in the header of the window. This test instruction includes all Control Plan lines.
  8. You can add document text to any line by choosing Document Text from the right mouse button menu.
  9. You can print a report of your results for any line by choosing Print Data Sheet from the right mouse button menu.
  10. When all test operations have been reported, you can change the status for the analysis to Confirmed by selecting Confirm Registered Results from the right mouse button menu from the header of the analysis. Once an analysis has Confirmed status, the results cannot be edited.
  11. Alternatively, you can confirm multiple analyses at a time in the Analysis window by selecting one or more analyses and choosing Confirm Registered Results from the right mouse button menu.
