Enter Tolerance Check Data on Customer Schedule Agreement

Explanation

Here you can enter the tolerance check methods you wish to use. If applied at this tab before connecting the parts at the Customer Parts tab, the indicated conditions will be valid for all parts enter on the agreement. Tolerance checking is an optional step in the work flow.

Tolerance Check Options for customer schedule agreement part includes data for the two tolerance check methods: cumulative and bucketed tolerance check method.

1. Cumulative Schedule Tolerance: This check shows the cumulative effect of the releases. The quantity per day is compared to the same period of time for a previous schedule. The variations are also measured per day on the basis of cumulative requirements.
2. Bucketed Schedule Tolerance: This check summarizes schedule quantities into the buckets defined by the schedule template. Accumulations in like-size buckets are compared to a tolerance percentage defined for each bucket in the template.

There are four different ways of comparing schedules, regardless of what tolerance check method is used:

• You can compare a plan to a previous plan that overlaps in time.
• You can compare your last generated call-off to a previous plan if they overlap in time.
• You can compare your new call-off with the previous call-off if the overlap in time
• You can compare several call-offs with previous plan if they all overlap in time.

If you chose to use the bucketed tolerance check method, you should enter a tolerance template, in the field Tol Template Id. The template divides the time into different buckets and is created in the window Customer Schedule Basic Data/Tolerance Template.

To make a variance check on the stated level for the complete agreement and using the cumulative tolerance check, you should indicate a lowest and a highest percentage in the fields Tol Under (%) and Tol Over (%). If you wish to have a different variance check on a particular part this is entered in the Customer Parts tab.

Prerequisites

A customer schedule agreement header, as well as a tolerance template must have been entered. The latter only valid if you wish to use the bucketed tolerance check.

System Effects

As result of this entry, the customer schedule will act according to stated tolerance check step. If other conditions are stated on the supplier schedule agreement line, these conditions will overrule any conditions stated on the supplier schedule agreement for this particular part.

Procedure

1. Click on New and enter tolerance percentage or tolerance template in appropriate field. You can use both tolerance check methods at the same time if applicable.
2. Indicate what types of schedules that should be compared in appropriate group box.
3. Save the entered data and continue to the Customer Parts tab.
