Create Document Distribution List
Explanation
Use this activity to create a document
distribution list. This list can be created using the
Document
Distribution Assistant or one row at a time using the
Distribution window.
Prerequisites
- The user ID you logged with must be connected to a person in Persons window.
- The persons who are inserted into the document distribution list must be
registered in the Persons window.
- You must have selected one or more documents before using the menu option for document
distribution.
- If you are using e-mail notification as the distribution method, the appropriate e-mail
address(es) must be registered in the
Person
/Comm.Method
tab.
System Effects
- An entry is created in the
Distribution window for each person in the distribution list.
- The order of execution for the document distribution can be configured.

Procedure
Use one of the following procedures to create a document distribution list.
Using the Document Distribution Assistant:
- Open the
Document Revisions window and query for the document revisions you
will distribute.
- Right-click and select Document Distribution
to open the Document Distribution
Assistant.
Follow the instructions provided within the wizard.
Using the Distribution window:
- Click New to create a new row.
- Enter values for Document Class,
Document Number, Document Sheet, Document Revision and Receiver
fields. Enter values for the other fields as required.
- Click Save to add the receiver to the
document distribution.
