Solution Types—Exercises

IMPORTANT
It is extremely important that you set up and work within your own site to maintain your data integrity. If you work within any other site, you will compromise your own exercise data as well as the data of other students. Predictable exercise results require that your data be isolated in your own site.

Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to enter the solution types to be used when working with support issues.

Windows:
Support Center Basic Data /Solution Types

Entering Solution Type

  1. Open the Support Center Basic Data/Solution Types window.
  2. Populate the window to view the predefined solution types.
  3. Create a new solution type to handle a list of requests. Enter XX-Request as the solution type ID, where XX stands for your initials. 
  4. Enter a brief explanation of the solution type.
  5. Enter C:\temp\Request.htm in the File Name field.
  6. Save the changes.

Note: Make sure you have a temp directory on the computer.
