Main Exercise

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to show you where and how to enter ship via codes, i.e., modes of delivery.

Ship Via Codes

IFS Racing uses four ways of transporting goods to an English-speaking supplier: truck (XXT), boat (XXB), air (XXA), and mail (XXM). The codes within the parentheses are the ship via codes that you should use, where XX should be replaced by your initials, and the third letter represents the delivery mode.

Entering a Ship Via Code

1. Open the Ship Via Codes window and create a new record (F5).
2. Enter the first delivery mode in the Ship Via Codes field, using the values listed above.
3. In the Language field, use the List of Values to choose English.
4. Enter an appropriate description for your delivery mode.
5. In the Mode of Transport list, click the mode of transport.
6. Save your entries.
7. Repeat this for all delivery modes.
