Setting Up Characteristics

Classes

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to define part characteristic groupings. These may then be used in Characteristic Templates against a part to enable technical searching on the database. It can be smart to have the classes similar to the Standard Names.

1. Define a characteristic class.

Attributes

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to define common attributes or characteristics of parts. Any attribute can be defined.

1. Enter some attributes. Make some numeric and others alphanumeric.
