Basic Data Setup

Create IL Authority Class

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create authority classes.

Windows:
IL Authority Classes

Complete the following steps to complete this exercise:

Note: The authority class MAX exists by default for existing internal ledgers of existing companies. For new internal ledgers the authority class MAX will have to be created by the user.

Open the IL Authority Classes window.
Populate the window to view the existing authority classes.
Enter a new record and enter the following information.

Authority Class	Description
MAX	Default
MIN	Minimum
ONE	Class One.

4. Save.

Create IL Authority Combination

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create authority combinations for authority classes.

Windows:
IL Authority Combinations

Open the IL Authority Combinations window.
Populate the window to view existing authority combinations.
Create a new record and enter the following authority combinations.

Authority Class	Allowed	Account	Cost Center	Sales	Region	Asset	Project	Currency	Elimination	Product Family	Consolidation
MAX	Yes	%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%
MIN	No	%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%
ONE	Yes	%	2%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%	%

4. Save

Users belonging to authority class MAX can query on all code parts regardless of value.
Users belonging to authority class MIN cannot query on any of the code parts regardless of value.
Users belonging to authority class ONE can query on all code parts regardless of value except code part Cost Center on which the user may view information only if the code part begins with 2.
The authority class MAX will not be available by default for new internal ledgers or when adding new users to existing internal ledgers.
