Creating Family Set Data—Basic Data and Requirements Exercises

IMPORTANT
It is extremely important that you set up and work within your own site to maintain your data integrity. If you work within any other site, you will compromise your own exercise data as well as the data of other students. Predictable exercise results require that your data be isolated in your own site.

Basic Data Setup

Level 0 MS Parts

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create family set data for sales and operations planning. 

  1. If you have not yet done so, create a level 0 part.

Creating Family Set Data

Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create a family set on your site for use with sales and operations monetary forecast planning.

Windows:
MS Basic Data /Family Set Data

  1. Open the Family Set Data tab.
  2. Create a new record.
  3. Select the site and part number from the List of Values.
  4. Select MS set 0 from the List of Values.
  5. Enter an average sales price.
  6. Enter an average cost.
  7. Enter the beginning on-hand quantity.
  8. Save the changes.
