Creating Resource Routings—Basic Data and Requirements Exercises

compromise your own exercise data as well as the data of other
students. Predictable exercise results require that your data
be isolated in your own site. |
Main Exercise
Purpose: The purpose of this exercise is to create a
resource routing record..
Windows:
Resource Routing
- Open the Resource Routing window.
- Create a new record.
- In the Site field, specify the site for which you want to enter
resource requirements. Use the List of Values to select from available
sites.
- In the Part No field, enter the part for which you want to enter
resource requirements. Use the List of Values to select from available
parts.
- In the Operation No and Operation Description fields, enter
the operation to be performed and a description.
- In the Valid From and Valid To fields, enter the date
interval for the operation's validity. Today's date is the default for the
start date. If you do not enter an end date, the operation is valid
indefinitely.
- In the Parallel Operations field, specify whether the operation is
allowed to be planned at the same time as other operations.
- In the Work Center No field, specify the work center where the
operation will be performed. The work center can be an active or planning
resource. Use the List of Values to select from available work
centers.
- Enter the efficiency of the operation in the Efficiency Factor
field.
- Enter the resource consumption factor.
- Enter the unit of measure.
- Save the record.
