Print Document—Key Exercises

Required Data

This exercise requires that you have a printer connection installed in your computer.

Purpose: The purpose of these exercises is to show how to print out a document from IFS Document Management.

Printing Document Revisions from an Overview Window

  1. Open the Document Revisions window.
  2. Query for the search criteria shown below.

  1. Select the document revision. Then right-click, point to File Operations, and click Print Document.
  2. In the Select Document Type to Print window, click OK.
  3. If the Choose Macro window opens, click Skip Macro.

Result: The original document application is opened, and the document is printed out on your default local printer.

Printing Document Revisions from a Detail Window

  1. Select the document revision in the overview window, right-click, and then click Document Revision.
  2. The Document Revision window appears, populated with the selected document revision.
  3. On the General tab, click Print.
  4. In the Select Document Type to Print window, click OK.
  5. If the Choose Macro window opens, click Skip Macro.

Result: The original document application is opened, and the document is printed out on your default local printer.
