Copy Template Fields from Another Company

Explanation

This activity is used to enter report field control for a selected tax template by copying template fields and the connected sub groups/tax codes from a tax template with the same ID that exists in another company.

Alternatively, you can enter report field control for a tax template by manually selecting the template fields and the subgroups/tax codes that you want to connect to those fields.  It is also possible to copy all the template fields of the tax template from the Tax Template Field Control Basic window.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity, a tax template with the same ID as the tax template to which you want to copy template fields to, must be available in another company to be used as the source template. It is also required that report field control must have been entered for the source tax template in the Tax Template Field Control window.

The country code of the company to which the source tax template belongs must be the same as that of the company you are using. This activity also requires that the user ID of the user who is assigned to carry out this activity has been entered in the Users per Company window for that company to which the source template belongs.

As a result of this activity, you can enter tax report information based on the template defined.

Procedure

  1. Open the Tax Template Field Control window and create a new record.
  2. Enter the template to which you want to copy template fields in the Template ID field using the List of Values.
  3. Select an appropriate value for the Selection Based on field to specify on what the selection of tax transactions to a tax proposal should be based on.
  4. If you have selected the value Subgroups for the Selection Based on field, use the List of Values to select an appropriate value for the Tax Group ID field. The tax group ID you select must be the same as the tax group ID of the source tax template.
  5. Save the information.
  6. Right-click in the header of the window and click Copy Details From Company to open the Copy Tax Template Field Control dialog box.
  7. In the Company field, enter the company to which the tax template that you want to copy template fields from belongs. The List of Values can be used to select the relevant company.
  8. Click OK to close the dialog box.
