Use this tab window to view previously registered base units and enter new ones. A base unit is a unit that is itself a base unit, with a factor of 1. Units you can view in this window are both predefined units that are base units, and user-defined units entered directly in this window as base units. You can later view all units you enter in this window in the Units of Measure function. All records will then have a factor value of 1 and the same value in the Unit Code and Base Unit columns. The user-defined units you enter in the Units of Measure function are not shown in this function, as they are not base units.
