Transfer Resource Forecast to Resource Planning

Explanation

This activity is used to transfer a resource forecast version into Resource Planning. Only one resource forecast version can be transferred per project. Once it has been transferred, the version cannot be updated further. The hours are transferred from the forecast to the resource planning and further planning can be done in the Resource Planning tab.

Prerequisites

• A resource forecast version in the Approved status should exist.

System Effects

• The resource forecast version is transferred into resource planning. All the previous resource planning details will be removed and replaced with the details of this forecast.
• The Planned check box will be selected for the resource forecast version.

Procedure

1. Open the Project Resource Forecast window and query for a resource forecast version that you want to transfer into Resource Planning.
2. Use the menu option Transfer to Resource Planning.
